Its all about the scales

Hello all

well this week has just flown by in a blur. its Friday tomorrow already and then the weekend. It is a bank holiday weekend here so lily and I have Kristian with us for 4 whole days. yippee!!! He has taken tomorrow off because he can ( academics you see, its the way to go if you like to holiday) and then Monday is a holiday.

weight watchers went well for me this week. I lost 1 and 1/2 pounds so that makes it 7 and 1/2 pounds so far. That is apparently half a stone ( I am learning all this English weight quite fast) Sooooooo I got a sticker on my little card and in the meeting everyone clapped which made me want to die of embarrassment. Even worse than that ,Lily's new trick of the week is clapping all the time. she does it when she wakes up, when she eats and more importantly in weight watchers meetings. everyone else clapping was just too much for her so she joined in clapping for her mum, and a few other ladies, wholeheartedly.

We then walked back home to feed Lily lots of avo and stodge so she would put on weight and praise the lord she had. She is now 8.2 kg that is 18 pounds. she is eating very well just lately I think she is having a little growth spurt. she is like a weed but just seems to grow taller.

Besides the clapping she is now very fond of feeding me bits of her toast which I must bite with gusto sending her into fits of giggles. she is also loving rubbing her face on yours which is of course the cutest thing. we still have a lot of mama mama and a few other sounds which she repeats over and over. she is a joy at the moment actually I am having such fun. We spend ages on the floor every day encouraging the elusive crawling. she is very strong and is pulling herself up nicely on everything now. she leans over to get toys and shuffles that way to get things. when she finds herself in the crawling position she just wobbles and rocks there and moves her hand s forward forgetting her feet and then she is on her tummy again. Its very frustrating for her and she screams in rage." not to worry honey everyone says you will get there eventually"

Nothing much happening with me. I am just counting the days till my mum comes to visit. I am hoping the weather holds out. otherwise its all about food which is always the way when you diet. I have brought back some great recipes that I have not used in a while so its quite good ,dieting. it inspires you to cook some different, healthy food.

tonight I am having ricotta and spinach tortellini with a tomato sauce and a lovely big salad.

tomorrow its lasagne but I have some family from Holland coming around for dinner my aunt and uncle so they will want feeding and watering and lasagne is just so easy and tasty.
