My mummy has let me type another post on my blog as she says it will be nice for all of you to catch up on all the clever things I can do now.
I have been saving up all my tricks and now this week I have shown them all to mummy and daddy. they seem so delighted by it all, I just cant help doing more and more new things. this is why this week i have been rolling all over the place and trying very hard to crawl. I get myself onto all fours but then I am at a bit of a loss at what to do. This morning I moved my hands forward one by one and mummy and daddy where clapping and saying yay so I think that was right. On the clapping note I can also do that so well now. Mummy says clap your hands and i just do it. It kills them, they just love me!
I also have discovered that when I am at an object like the table I can reach up and pull and then I am on my knees. Once I even got onto my feet. there was more clapping so that must be good too,I must remember to do that again.
I have learnt a few other things as well like when I open and close my hands while holding them up I get what I want and one of those 2 parents of mine pick me up which I love. I can pick up my cup and drink all by myself and my eating is amazing. i can eat some bits of fruit and bread and cheese now. In fact today I had a lovely bit of lemon and poppy muffin to taste. My first bit of cake. It was sooooo yummy.
I really hate it when anyone trys to take anything I am playing with away and it seems to happen a lot at that baby group mummy takes me to as all the babies there are older than me and take my toys away.
I am loving all my babbling this week and my mama has come along brilliantly. I even say mum now but even though daddy sits there saying dada over and over I just cant get the hang of that one. Maybe I will throw him a bone next week and say it. Ill see how my mood is.
I still love my puzzle so much I play with it every day its the beast but all my other toys are becoming increasingly interesting , sometimes I have so many to pick from I just try to hold them all.
Thats it from me. I can hear my bath being run so I will have to go and slash and play in there before my bedtime in an hour and a half

wow lily you really are comin along so well and i must say i am also so impressed by your excellent vocabulary which u didn't mention in all of your progress. it is so exciting isn't it to get so much praise so how bout givin ur dad a little dada it would make his whole week!
ps i can't wait to see your 'beast' puzzle and am quite interesting to know what you 'slash' when in the bath. heehee ;0)
Now Aunty Ronnie I am only 8 months old. I cant get it all right. My mummy is laughing and laughing as I said I would slash in the bath rather than splash. I am sooooo funny

It sure sounds like you are a happy, busy little bean these days, Lily. By the next time you come to Cape Town, you'll be able to get stuck into Jake's toys and make a mess of his room with him!! You are a very clever little girl and well done for learning all these new tricks!! I don't think your mommy realises how much hard work she's in for when you actually start moving around!!

You are just so clever my love. Keep some new tricks for when Nana Fi is with you which is soon now. Can't wait to pick you up and hold you and of course I am sure you cannot wait for me to sing you some of my lovely songs!!!! We will have to wait for Daddy and Mummy to go out first though then we can sing and clap hands together. Love you lots and lots and lots and lots - Nana and Grandpa xxxxxx
