ride ride ride

I just have to show you a small selection of my tomatoes. after this no more I promise

Lily is leaning to ride a bike. I was under the impression that with the little fairy wheels (thats what i call them) she would pedal and then in a year or two we would remove the wheels and then the real work would begin
But no.. it seems Lily finds it easier to pedal backwards and she finds it ever so fun when her mummy and daddy push her really hard and she just pedals backwards wildly. We are running behind her shouting. Pedal FORWARDS! push DOWN on the pedals Lily! But no... thats no fun
After an hour.... Milly, Lilys imaginary friend, had a turn. Lily ran after the bike pushing it wildly shouting. pedal FORWARDS Milly. Push Down on the pedals. Then she just stood there shaking her head at Millys inability to pedal

I don't know which I love more - the whole pedaling backwards thing or her imaginary friend Milly!
As a child, I had a friend (which the world called imaginary) and it was a wonderful blessing.
Enjoy it all...

Isn't it so much fun when you see yourself reflected in the little things they say or do. Sometimes it horrifies my, but most of the time it's fun :)

I love your tomatoes, what a pity you have to eat them.
When number one son was about three and a half we bought him a bike and out to the pavement we went to learn to ride. Rowland pushed Sion off and he pedaled like mad and disappeared around the block (how times change, we wouldn't be allowed to do that now). After passing the house about four times (not a big block) we told him to get off, "I can't stop" he cried and glided onto the front lawn and fell off the bike. He could have been stuck on the bike all day. He also had a "friend" called Mike, so who's to say if he was real or imaginary.

I might be the only person here impressed by them, but they really are gorgeous tomatoes! Well done! Such a lovely variety.

Lily looks so grown up on her bike. Good luck with getting it right! Jake's so into his bike riding at the moment that I'm considering asking Santa for a bike for myself for Christmas so I can keep up with him!!

Sending lots of love,
