things that have happened to me within a week

1 . I went to the most wonderful second dinner club at a fantastic restaurant. Lailaa has written all about it on our blog., the gourmet goddesses if you want to read all about it. I had the most wonderful time with great company, fabulous cocktails , divine food and really amazing belly dancing which I attempted to do ,and I see that photos of attempting such things are never flattering, so people just turn away when you see those ones!

2. Another great session at Diddi dancing with Lily. we started tap dancing this week and she is getting to be very fond of her teacher Anne Marie. she says her name Anne mawee which is ever so cute and endearing. Even though this session was the morning after the aforementioned dinner club it was great

3. We now bride our daughter do be good. Well not really, its a reward system you see. I am a weak sort of parent and Lily is giving us major battles at night.. major. But I love my sleep and persevering with keeping her in bed regardless is getting too much for us both. Also I don't have it in me to just let her cry and cry. she has responded very well to my sticker rewards for good sleeping and we are getting there slowly. At first I believed she was too young but shes pleaser, I can see that already , so its working a treat. Just have to put some backbone there for the future. Today we went to get her hula hoop which was her pressie after getting 5 stickers. she was so excited you have no idea.

4 The weekend was a disaster. I had my first medical emergency . I was whisked off in an ambulance to Lewisham hospital after writhing in pain for an hour and my GP advising we call 999. It was truly up there with the end of labour pain. I had just come out the shower when I just doubled over in pain. Hence when the paramedics came I had semi damp hair at all angles , a mickey mouse t shirt and see through black pj pants on. when they moved me Kristian slipped on my red crocs and the picture was complete. We spent six hours in A & E and saw many , many , many things....

I came away with no answers but the pain had subsided with very strong pain relief and after I saw the docter on Monday she seems to think its either the fact that my coil slipped and bent or that said coil has caused pelvic imflammatory disease. tests will tell ( sorry men that read but hey , take note...being a woman is no picnic)
since then I have been gingerly walking around but after my anti bs kicked in today I feel much better.

So all in all quite a surreal time. luckily for all of you I have been plunged into christmas after I bought the December issue of Ideal home magazine
and now I am full of ideas and excitement I will share with you over the coming weeks :)

now for some photos of a small child. Not any small child but mine..

I like to take all these toys out of my basket and play with them at the same time

Shew - what a week. Glad to hear that you're feeling better though!! One thing, make sure that if the pain persists, you get them to check your gallbladder. My mom went through years of intermittent pains only to discover about 5 years later that she had gallstones. It's apparently not one of the things they test for regularly, but the pains are described as being the same as advanced labour...

Gorgeous photos of Lily!!

Hey I am pleased you are no longer in any pain, jees that must have been awful.
Your dinner club sounds great, wish I could come.
Lily is growing so fast, I am going to remember your sticker idea, think it is fab and it is obviously working. One day I am sure that will come in handy!
Can't wait for your ideas from the mag, I'll upload those measurements tonight, hopefully..

How horrible for you.But good that you were brave enough to go off to hospital. I just wait and see.. and no doubt will wake up dead one day. Hope you are ok now. Look after yourself. And yes! bribery works a treat...and any mum who says she doesn't do it, is lying. Keep safe.

Hi Wendy -
As I read through your recounting of your pain, my first thought was the same as Sue - your gall bladder. But having had both gallstones and ovarian cysts, the pain can be blinding for both, but one north, the other south. Good that you were checked out. I hope all the test results bring you good news --- and no more pain!
Hugs...
