christmas parties

Tis the season of Christmas parties and I have had my fair share this week. Our dinner club was a great evening out and as I am Sandis ghost writer I will be updating the dinner club blog soon. Our Christmas party was so great despite a few people being unable to make it. My snowballs were a great success as they always are. I urge you all to make a jug this Christmas you will not be sorry. The snacks were great the best little things I made where these sticky cocktail sausages ( recipe coming soon) and little puff pastry bites with goats cheese and caramelised onion chutney. I also made these belinis ( Russian tiny pancakes) with smoked salmon and creme fraiche. yum

The champagne flowed and our house was looking lovely with our fresh Christmas tree all decorated and twinkling and all my Christmas ornaments out. Its smelling all christmassy too with the pine tree and my new frankincense and myrrh candle.

Lily had such a lovely time although as soon as guests arrived she went to hide under the table , however Alan and Lailaas gift drew her out and it was a hit she forced her daddy to sit playing with it most of the evening.

Sunday I went to my work Christmas do which was ok. I don't know them all well enough to let my hair down and I was of course brewing the flu. I get the flu every Christmas, I have no idea why but its highly annoying and I am only sitting here doing a blog update thanks to very strong coedine pills. On that note here are my photos...

Sounds like you are having fun. Sorry that your are sick though, just get better soon. More mulled wine might do the trick !!!! The tree looks too cute, wish with all my heart that we could be there too, but I have even tried closing my eyes very tight and turning round three times shouting out my wish loud (no really - Harriet thought I was mad - she's not really that far off the mark hey?) but the wish fairy is obviously off granting far more important wishes than mine. Love all the photos and as for that cap it is too cute. Love you all lots and lots and lots - Mum xxxx
