If you live in London people who have never been there are amazed that you live with a child in a huge city. But London is not really the industrial packed city one imagines. It has these places where it feels like you have happened on a private place of beauty and tranquility. Throw in some warm sunny weather and its a day out you will always remember.
St James park is one of my favorite London parks. We have a straight journey into Charing Cross railway station and then a short walk through Trafalgar square before entering it. Pall Mall runs through it and Buckingham palace is at the one end. You can watch the changing of the guard and then walk down to the lake to feed the ducks and geese. You can hire some deck chairs and sit around drinking take away cappuccinos and eating M and s sandwiches. You can play with a ball. you can kick autumn leaves. a million things really.
If you ever come to visit do go, but please take me with you.

What an exquisite oasis!
Haha - we will be back and hopefully our next trip will be while you're in town. Will definitely take you and Lily up on the offer of an outing to the park!! I also love St James.

it sounds divine Wendy and looks great, where are those wedding pics ???? Hope you, Kristian and Lily are well xxx Love Nicci
I'm coming Lily!!!! I'm coming Wendy!!!! I love all the parks in London. I think that is something we could do with here even with all our wide open spaces. Of course it helps if you are surrounded by 100's of years of history, it just adds to it somehow. Mum xxx
