Why?

Why is it that as soon as your baby heads towards 18 months you become horrendously broody for another baby. What hormone is this? I went from only having one baby after Lily was born . I was adamant that I was never doing that again.
Then I started thinking ...ok I would like her to have a little brother or sister maybe when she is 4. Now I think no ..I want one NOW!!!!

So perhaps my original dream of having 3 children will happen . hee hee (not)
I mean I don't even have a bedroom for the one I have now
Tips on how to squash broodiness will be much appreciated

The only way to get over broodiness is to have another baby!! I've been broody since I had Jake, although I'm still looking for a donor dad... While I do think it's great to be able to give our best to 1 kid, I do think that children benefit so much from having siblings. I'd have loved to have had 4 children. Maybe one day...

PS. Just move into a bigger place!!

Gosh if only it were so easy. Maybe I will have to be broody for a while until I can do something about it. We cant have it all (mores the pity)
I am sure your donor dad will appear and give you those 3 children to add to Jake :)

Most of the people I know whose children are around Lily's age now want another baby. The say a 2 and a half year gap is ideal and maybe nature knows that! I remember you saying you didn't want another child or maybe only much later and I said wait and see! In time the pain of labour is almost all forgotten! I think anyway next time round would be so much easier. Believe it or not I actually looked at Amy at 6 weeks and thought I could easily have another one. I did not expect the feelings I have had at all. I love the idea of a big family (Brothers and Sisters influenced that!) but know I probably won't ever do that. I too think it is good for children to have a sibling or two though. Time will tell for all of us :) xxx

Hmmmm tell me about broodiness. I am not quite there yet, although ever since I have had Bayden I have thought that I want at least 2more. They bring you so much joy.
Like Caroline says, time will tell....I don't think you will just stick with one though, you are definitely the maternal type, and an excellent mom!! :)
